Please read and follow these steps closely in the weeks before your appointment.

- Discontinue prescription retinoids (e.g., Retin-A, Tretinoin, Differin) and other strong topical exfoliants. These thin the skin and may lead to excessive bleeding or poor retention.

- Avoid medium or deep chemical peels, microneedling, and laser resurfacing on or near the face, especially the cheeks and nose.

- If you’ve had Botox or Dysport injections, wait at least 4–6 weeks before your appointment to allow facial movement to fully settle for accurate freckle placement.

- Stop using over-the-counter retinol, glycolic/salicylic acid, AHA/BHA serums, acne treatments, and vitamin C on or near the treatment area.

- Do not begin any new brow, lash, or skin growth serums (e.g., GrandeBROW, Latisse). These can increase skin sensitivity and vascularity.

- Avoid intense sun exposure or tanning that may cause irritation, peeling, or sunburn on the cheeks, nose, or forehead.

- No facials, dermaplaning, chemical exfoliants, or waxing on the treatment area.

- Avoid filler injections in the mid-face, nose, or cheeks.

- If prone to cold sores and planning freckles near the lip line or nose, consult with your doctor about a preventative antiviral.

Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning agents, such as:
  - Aspirin
  - ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)
  - naproxen
  - Fish oil
  - vitamin E
  - niacin
  - turmeric
  - ginger
  - gingko biloba
(Only discontinue prescribed medications under your doctor’s supervision.)

- Limit exposure to saunas, steam rooms, intense exercise, or anything that increases circulation and sweating.

- Avoid caffeine (coffee, tea, matcha, energy drinks)

- Hydrate well by drinking plenty of water.

- Avoid applying makeup, SPF, or skincare products to the freckle area the night before and morning of your appointment.

- Do not shave, exfoliate, or scrub the treatment area.

- Avoid caffeine (coffee, tea, matcha, energy drinks)

- Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. Do not apply lotion, SPF, or oils on the cheeks, nose, or forehead.

- Eat a light meal beforehand to help prevent lightheadedness.

- Avoid intense exercise and sweating before your appointment.

- Do not take sedatives, antihistamines, or painkillers unless prescribed and discussed with your artist in advance.

- Healing may involve light scabbing or fading. Results vary depending on skin type, sun exposure, and aftercare.

- Faux freckles are designed to fade naturally over time. A touch-up may be scheduled 6–8 weeks later, if needed.

- If you are traveling, attending special events, or undergoing facial treatments within 10–14 days after your appointment, please consider rescheduling.
