- Stop using active skincare products such as Retin-A, retinoids, glycolic/salicylic acid (AHAs/BHAs), or any resurfacing creams around the eye area.
- Avoid Botox, dermal fillers, facials, laser treatments, and chemical peels near the eyes or forehead during this window.
- Discontinue lash serums (such as Latisse or GrandeLash) at least 4–8 weeks prior, as they can increase vascular activity and bleeding.
- Do not schedule eyeliner PMU if you’ve had chemotherapy in the last 6 months or have an active cancer diagnosis unless cleared by a physician.
- Begin hydrating your body and skin by drinking plenty of water and optionally supplementing with electrolytes.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure and do not arrive with a sunburn, especially around the eye area.
- If you are prone to eye infections, styes, or allergic reactions, let your technician know in advance.
Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning agents, such as:
- Aspirin
- ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)
- naproxen
- Fish oil
- vitamin E
- niacin
- turmeric
- ginger
- gingko biloba
(Only discontinue prescribed medications under your doctor’s supervision.)
- Limit exposure to saunas, steam rooms, intense exercise, or anything that increases circulation and sweating.
- Avoid caffeine (coffee, tea, matcha, energy drinks)
- Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
- Get a full night’s sleep and avoid stress where possible — your skin heals better when your body is rested.
- Avoid caffeine (coffee, tea, matcha, energy drinks)
- Do not wear contact lenses. Bring glasses if needed for your visit.
- Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin — especially no eye makeup, mascara, eyeliner, or lash glue residue.
- Lash extensions must be fully removed prior to your appointment. Failure to do so will result in rescheduling.
- Avoid heavy workouts or saunas the morning of your appointment.
- Your eyelids may be slightly red, puffy, or sensitive for 24–48 hours after the procedure — this is normal.
- You will be given specific aftercare instructions to support healing and pigment retention.
- Failing to follow pre-care may compromise results or lead to rescheduling at your expense.
