This technique is designed to be gentle on the skin, causing minimal trauma with little to no bleeding and depositing just the right amount of pigment. We exclusively offer machine hair strokes because they heal beautifully, maintaining crisp, hyper-realistic strokes that age beautifully over time.

Microblading is a manual technique that uses a blade made of multiple needles to slice into the skin and deposit pigment. Because this method relies on cutting the skin, it creates significant trauma, increasing the risk of scarring. With each stroke, 100% of the pigment is implanted, but since the skin absorbs pigment like a sponge, it often cannot handle such a high concentration. As a result, the strokes can blur together over time and may heal with a grayish tone.

Microblading heals best on clients with no previous permanent makeup, normal to dry skin (free of complications or chronic conditions), minimal visible pores, naturally full brows with little to no hair loss, and a fine hair texture. In reality, this ideal skin type makes up only about 5-10% of our clientele. Since perfect skin is rare, it's essential to offer a technique that ensures permanent makeup remains naturally beautiful as it ages and fades over time.

With various needle configurations, pigment colors, layering techniques, and crisscross strokes, we can create the ultimate hyper-realistic effect—fully customized to match each client’s unique hair growth pattern and texture. Microblading comes with limitations in artistic freedom due to the risk of unwanted healed results. The strokes must be spaced out with plenty of room in between, as they cannot overlap or crisscross. This restriction prevents the artist from creating intricate patterns that would result in hyper-realistic brows. As a result, the final design can sometimes lack depth and dimension. If too many strokes are placed too closely together, pigment oversaturation can occur, causing the strokes to blur once healed.

The salon is lovely, clean and comfortable. The process was virtually pain free and my healing after the first session was very easy. Caitlyn's instructions for after care and what would happen during the healing process were spot on. I had the initial treatment with machine strokes and then a touch up 8 weeks later and am so happy with my new brows.
